Fish and other water creatures
Here you can find stamps showing fish, and other sea and fresh water creatures. Most of these stamps are postally used, and specially selected for light postmarks. I have a lot more fish stamps than shown here, including mint, so if you want to ask about any marine stamps that you are especially looking for, please email me at alisonlever@yahoo.co.uk

The Flying Fish has an almost antique air, like an old engraving, and first came out in 1950, with the head of King George VI. The same design was then used for Queen Elizabeth II. It's a tough but delicately drawn stamp, one of my favourites.
The Seahorse is a simple design that shows the fish well. It came out in 1965. The Sea Urchin (see below in Seashells and Other Marine Life) is part of the same set as the Seahorse. The 5c 'Natural Beauty of Barbados' came out much later, in 1977. It's a larger than average stamp, and shows a shoal of unidentified fish. If anyone recognises them, please let me know!

Canada
The 17c Canadian Whitefish stamp came out in 1980, and, as with many Canadian stamps, the postmarks have often obliterated the fish, so I have had to be extremely selective to offer ones with light postmarks. It's a very attractive design, with subtle colours, and a pose that shows the fish's grace and beauty. The stamp costs £0.25
The Bowhead Whale came out in 1979. Yes, I know that whales are not fish! But these two stamps go well together. This 35c stamp costs £0.35.Click on previews to see

Ordering stamps:
Please allow 0.80 pounds (80p) if you come from anywhere in Europe, and £1.50 if orders are to be sent elsewhere. The postage charge is the same however many stamps you buy. This means that it's cheaper to buy more than one stamp, because the cost of packaging and postage is less per stamp. This reflects the time spent ensuring that the stamps are packed so that they arrive to you safely - it takes about the same time for one stamp as for larger orders.
Your stamps will be sent as soon as I receive payment. You can return the stamps and obtain a refund if they are not what you expected. Paypal is preferred, though other forms of payment can be negotiated. Euros are welcome as well as pound sterling.
