Birds on Stamps
And for English speakers:
Here is a selection of some of the birds stamps on offer through filatelicbird.co.uk. It is only a small selection of the many bird stamps available here, so if you want to ask about any bird stamps you are especially looking for, please contact me. You can email me c/o alisonlever@yahoo.co.uk and I will see what I can find for you. I am delighted to make up selections of birds from one country, owls, birds of prey etc, checking with you by email that what I am sending you is what you want to fill in gaps your collection. I offer discounts for large orders.
Travellers in central Spain can also come and look at bird stamps in the village of Lagartera, located in important birdwatching country near Oropesa, some 20 miles south of the Gredos mountains. Just ask for Alison in Bar Maykel, which is off the main square of Lagartera. Lagartera is off the Nacional V route, and is about half way between Talavera and Navalmoral de la Mata, just past Oropesa, if you are travelling from Talavera to Navalmoral.
Most stamps depicted here are used. I specially select used stamps for light postmarks, which pushes up the price a little, and means that you can actually see the stamp, not the postmark! Many of the stamps depicted are also available as mint stamps, and I have mint sets, singletons and covers of many other bird stamps.

Would you like to buy some stamps?
Ordering stamps:
Please allow 0.80 pounds (80p) if you come from anywhere in Europe, and £1.50 if orders are to be sent elsewhere. The postage charge is the same however many stamps you buy. This means that it's cheaper to buy more than one stamp, because the cost of packaging and postage is less per stamp. This reflects the time spent ensuring that the stamps are packed so that they arrive to you safely - it takes about the same time for one stamp as for larger orders.
Your stamps will be sent as soon as I receive payment. You can return the stamps and obtain a refund if they are not what you expected. Paypal is preferred, though other forms of payment can be negotiated. Euros are welcome as well as pound sterling.
