The stamps on this page are mostly CTO sets, which means that they were made especially for collectors. An advantage of CTO stamps is that they tend to have lighter and neater postmarks than ordinary stamps. They also tend to be very large, colourful stamps.
Special offer: ten stamps of your favourite breed for £5.00, or an average of £0.50 each if I have less than ten. I am happy to make up a customised, personal pack for you so that you can avoid duplicating stamps that you already have.

Basenji
Basenjis are descended from African hunting dogs, and are a very attractive, sleek breed. Like spitz dogs, Basenjis can be somewhat independent-minded, and they resemble spitz dogs in being primitive dogs, closer than most breeds to the original dogs which first joined forces with humans, and slept round hunters' fires at night.
The Basenji stamps shown are from Benin, at £0.55, and Mozambique. The latter is part of a set issued in 1979, and is a large stamp with an attractive satin sheen, which goes well with the muted palette of colours used for the breed. This Basenji costs £0.65. Please ask about other Basenji stamps available.

Border Collie
Collies feature as obsessively efficient workaholics in the British joke, how many dogs does it take to change a lightbulb ...? That is a British joke, because in the UK, 'collie' tends to mean 'border collie.
Border collies dominate UK obedience and agility competitions. They are wonderfully responsive dogs for people who are prepared to invest the time in training them, and in giving them something to do to realise their potential. For Americans, 'collie' tends to mean 'Lassie collie', a more decorative animal with a touch of borzoi.
Those Border Collie stamps shown here are the marvellously keen collie from the Isle of White, at £0.65 mint and £0.30 used, the 1982 NZ Health stamp, mint £1.00 and the classic collie stamp from Australia (1980), at £0.50 fine used and £0.95 mint. Please email me to ask about other Border Collie stamps, and scroll down to 'collie' where you can find more collies on stamps.

The Dingo is not strictly speaking 'domestic', but then nor is it totally wild. Dingoes have had a long association with humans, and have sometimes been part-domesticated by Australian Aborigines. Ordering stamps:
Please allow 0.80 pounds (80p) if you come from anywhere in Europe, and £1.50 if orders are to be sent elsewhere. The postage charge is the same however many stamps you buy. This means that it's cheaper to buy more than one stamp, because the cost of packaging and postage is less per stamp. This reflects the time spent ensuring that the stamps are packed so that they arrive to you safely - it takes about the same time for one stamp as for larger orders.
Your stamps will be sent as soon as I receive payment. You can return the stamps and obtain a refund if they are not what you expected. Paypal is preferred, though other forms of payment can be negotiated. Euros are welcome as well as pound sterling.
